The Acting Chairman of People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo State, Dr. Edwin Anyanwu has expressed optimism that the party's victorious candidate in the recent bye-election conducted by the Imo State Independent Electoral Commission (ISIEC) for Owerri Municipal Council; Oshieze Vincent Ehirim will deliver this time around.
The Acting Chairman of People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo State, Dr. Edwin Anyanwu has expressed optimism that the party's victorious candidate in the recent bye-election conducted by the Imo State Independent Electoral Commission (ISIEC) for Owerri Municipal Council; Oshieze Vincent Ehirim will deliver this time around.
Dr. Anyanwu said from the speech Oshieze the had no doubt in his mind that he would turn over a new leaf and carry everybody along. From what I have seen, he will do it, he said.
The Chairman who said he was courageous that his party would win the election commended Governor Achike Udenwa for his advice, which went a long way in giving the party victory, and PDP members for their support.
He revealed that the party campaigned vigorously during the campaigns and he insisted that the election must be won in the field and that exactly happened. "We can now lay claim that the election was won on the field of Owerri Municipal", he boasted.
Meanwhile, Oshieze Vincent Ehirim has addressed the press as his first assignment on his second missionary journey as chairman of the council. He asked journalists to forgive him if there was anywhere he wronged them and assured them of his maximum co-operation.
